We spent Christmas this year with my mom and my sister and brother-in-law (Leah and Jim Hill) in Dallas. We all had an excellent, casual time. Angela and I actually went down a little early and brought Mia to see her cousin, 3-year old Sophia. On Christmas day, we woke up and began opening presents while feasting on breakfast casserole that Jim had made. Mia had a blast meeting Santa (OK, maybe she was a little scared about this part), and opening presents. We pretty much just chilled, talked, and snacked the rest of the day until dinner time. Jim had been smoking prime rib roast all day, and the girls started to prepare the sides about 4PM. About an hour later, we sat down to eat what Angela and I have described as the best prime rib we've ever had, accompanied by gouda mac, mushrooms and pearl onions sauteed in madeira, and sesame green beans with craisins. EXCELLENT meal people! My mouth is still watering. This was followed by watching the OKC Thunder pummel the Orlando Magic, then a little "Christmas Vacation" before bed. All-in-all, a very good Christmas...thanks, Jim and Leah! Pics and videos will be posted soon.
